Anyone who has had the privilege of visiting Australia will know that it is one of the worlds most beautiful countries with a massive amount of variation in its landscapes. Whilst in the centre you will get arid deserts and in the south you will see snowy mountains and woodland, along the east coast you will be treated to some luscious rainforests and pristine sandy beaches and tropical islands. In particular, the city of Cairns in the north east of the country offers some of the best attractions that you can find. Here are some of the top ones in Cairns Queensland Australia.

The vibe in Cairns is one of total relaxation which makes it perfect for travellers looking to have some chill time from all of their movements, to families looking to get away on a relaxing annual vacation. Here you will be able to partake in some extraordinary activities and can take advantage of the beautiful year round sunshine and temperatures on display. To the east of the city lie some gorgeous tropical rainforests, whilst over to the west you will find beautiful beaches and the magnificent Great Barrier Reef.

Of course, one major attraction that the city offers is the Great Barrier Reef. Due to its close proximity you will be able to take a tour boat out and explore some of the magnificent islands and engage in some of the worlds best diving and snorkeling. With over 2000 species of fish and countless coral gardens you will not be disappointed.

Look to the east and you will be able to visit the Daintree Rainforest in a number of different ways. This site is a World Heritage area and the best way to see it is by going up on the skyrail. From here you will be able to take in some of the finest views in Australia, looking out over the forest and the ocean and all the wonders in between.

There are also a host of different activities on offer that are sure to please any thrill seeker. For anyone who is looking to get the adrenaline pumping, there is nothing better than doing a skydive. This will enable you to get the best view of the region that you could possibly imagine.

Of course, if you are a little too old for a skydive or just feel that you’d rather not jump out of a plane today then you can always stay in one. Cairns also offers some great scenic flights that allow you to see all of the beautiful sights and take all the pictures in the world whilst doing so.

When it comes to the night time, the city will certainly not let you down. With a chilled and relaxed vibe, all sorts of revellers will be able to find a great venue to have a dance and a few drinks. If you are more keen on a simple meal out there are also dozens of great restaurants for you to enjoy offering different foods from all over the world.

It really doesn’t matter who you are or what your interests are, there will always be something to entertain you in this spectacular city.
